Just finished a couple of commissions for two burial urns for a large dog. Claro Walnut and the lids are threaded to the base made from Huoen Pine. 6" x 6"

- I have been a professional woodturner since finishing college in 1989. I live in Orem, Utah with my wife Jenni on a small farm. We grow most of our own food. I also have a small vineyard of French varietal grapes for winemaking. I have many other hobbies including tennis, bird watching, photography, plant and tree identification, plus I hike throughout the US looking for the largest specimens of many tree species. I make my work from timber that grows in my valley and specialize in utility pieces. The trees come from our local landfills and tree surgeons. The majority of my work is sold wholesale to American Craft galleries. I have also written and taught woodturning extensively. I have taught in seven countries plus most of the US. My articles are published in wood working magazines in the US and UK. Currently I am slowing my work load down and focusing on more technical works that I have had on the drawing board for many years. Basically more of the same but better and with less emphasis on production.
